INDICATIONS

> CEREFORM ® breast implants are indicated for:

  • ............ Mammary reconstruction following a mastectomy
  • ............ Breast enlargement for aesthetic reasons
  • ............ The correction of various acquired or congenital defects: dissymmetry, amastia, aplasia, hypomastia, hypoplasia
  • ............ Replacement after explantation of an old or defective implant

> CEREFORM ® breast implants are supplied sterile. They are not to be re-used or re-sterilized.


The practitioner is responsible for the pre-operative evaluation of the patient and the operating method used. He must inform his patient of the risks related to the intervention and eventual post-operative complications. The practitioner has to obtain the patient’s informed consent by his signature on the specific document before the intervention. He also has to inform the patient of alternative methods to implantation.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

> The implantation of CEREFORM ® breast prostheses is subjected to the following contraindications:

  • ............ Pre-existing pathology in the site of implantation
  • ............ Breast cancer in progression
  • ............ General or local infectious condition
  • ............ Pregnancy or breast-feeding in progress
  • ............ History of autoimmune disease
  • ............ Repeated unsuccessful implantation of the same kind of implants
  • ............ Treatment by irradiation, microwave diathermy or steroids in progress
  • ............ Known hyper sensibility to silicone
  • ............ Psychological instability
  • ............ Tissue insufficiency.
